Yes, that's right, it's the coffee Mitchell makes for Black Daniel in Ripple Effect. Yes, I bought it because it's now canon that's the coffee Daniel likes. Yes, I am a sad bastard. No, I don't see myself leaving this sad bastard state any time soon.

Ooh! It's dripping through the filter! SQUEE!

Oh boy, I love that stuff. Used to be my staple. I always bought it from Bettys in Ilkley, and you can buy online from Bettys now, although your supplier seems cheaper. In fact, it's my all time fave coffee - such a chocolatty taste. I need to buy some!

Didn't realise it was mentioned in Stargate, I'm obviously behind on watching episodes!

I wouldn't have said it had a chocolate-y taste but I'm now on my third cup, the second without milk and sugar, and now I can indeed taste something very much like dark chocolate.

I think it was jolly decent of Joe M to give Daniel such a nice coffee. :-D

That's it. The earthy taste and dark chocolate kick can depend on the strength, but it's probably easier to detect with only a little milk and no sugar. Strongest when the beans are freshly ground.

Quick/cheap way of grinding beans is a blade grinder. I got a nice one from Starbucks for just over £12. It only takes 15 seconds to throw a couple of dessertspoons of beans into the grinder, slap on the lid and hold down the button for 8-10 seconds. That generally produces something fine enough for cafetiere or filter.

Blimey. For that price I'd make the extra effort. I'll check out Starbucks at Borders, see if they carry it. Ta! :-)
