One of the advantages of having the show ended is that we're left with ten seasons of episodes that can't be screwed with by TPTB. Sure, there are movies, but I can easily dismiss them as not part of the show's canon. :-P
I agree that the first three seasons stand apart from the rest. While season 3 Daniel is my favourite, there are scenes and episodes from all seasons that I love. Daniel in Origin may not be season 3 Daniel, but he still takes my breath away.
